19th Century Photos of African Americans
The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture of the New York City Public Library has digitized a large number of their photographs of African Americans during the 19th century. The images are divided into 16 categories, such as: social life & customs, slavery, edcuation, family, labor, religion, politics, and individual portraits of children, men, and women.

National Women's History Project
The organization that started women's history month, their Web site provides an array of resources on women's history, including women's history performances, authors and presenters, and ideas on how to celebrate women's history month.

Native American Images, early 1900's
The North American Indian by Edward S. Curtis is one of the most significant and controversial representations of traditional American Indian culture ever produced. Issued in a limited edition from 1907-1930, the publication continues to exert a major influence on the image of Indians in popular culture. In over 2000 photogravure plates and narrative, Curtis portrayed the traditional customs and lifeways of eighty tribes. Featured here on the Web site of the Library of Congress are all of the published photogravure images including over 1500 illustrations bound in the text volumes, along with over 700 portfolio plates.

Native American Women
The Denver Public Library explores the daily life of late-19th-century Native American women of the plains and the desert southwest. Multiple tribes are pictured, illustrating a composite of early Native American life. Similarities in daily activities for women across tribes are presented.

Thomson Gale Women's History Resources
Thomas Gale, a world leader in e-research and education publishing provides links to biographies of significant women in history, a 20 question quiz on women's achievements, a timeline of significant events in women's history, and a list of activities suggested for celebrating women's history.
