NWHM Volunteer Program
BECOME A VOLUNTEER!
Volunteers have become an essential element to helping many non-profits be successful today.
Many organizations simply can't afford all the help they need because they need money for programs - not just salaries. So volunteers are vital to groups like the National Women's History Museum.
Through volunteer service, individuals help us do the research needed to ensure the women's history we share is accurate and thorough. They help serve as bridges in our communities and help with the day to day duties every organization must fulfill to run smoothly.
Whether your talent lies in accounting, writing, researching, organizing or just plain being a "people" person - we can use your skills and help!
And your volunteering to help the National Women's History Museum
will help show others your personal commitment to sharing and
promoting the many wonderful achievements of women throughout
history.
WANT
TO GET INVOLVED - HERE'S HOW:
Call our National Headquarters in Alexandria VA (703) 461-1920 and let us know you are interested in becoming a volunteer. We'll
try to match your talents with our needs so that we can make your
volunteering experience one you will be proud of - and enjoy.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I'M QUALIFIED TO VOLUNTEER?
Anyone can volunteer! Life skills are just as important
as career skills. And our trained Museum staff offers training
in areas you may be interested in learning more about!
And, if you don't live near our National Headquarters or even in the state of VA, that won't matter soon. Keep watching our Web site. We will soon have individuals all across the country who help us in various ways on several different projects. We will let you know of upcoming opportunities.
