2018 Women Making History Awards

On Tuesday, May 22nd, 2018  founder of the 'me too' movement Tarana Burke and award-winning journalist and author Cokie Roberts are set to receive the Women Making History Award, an honor given to a select group who have made significant contributions to their field and serve as an inspiration to women everywhere.

The National Women's History Museum's annual award program will not only commemorate women's achievements, but also generate awareness of the importance of preserving women's history and highlight the need for a national women's history museum on the National Mall in Washington, DC.  The event supports the Museum's initiative to educate children and adults about the distinctive accomplishments American women have made.
